CIMSEC is excited to announce a new project delving into the future of the maritime domain. The #CrowdedSeas project will develop hypotheses about the future of life and death at sea, particularly in Asia, in the 2030-2050 timeframe. From these hypotheses it will also attempt to illustrate implications for the world from the legal to the economic and the geopolitical to the sociological.
Project leads Scott Cheney-Peters and Dr. Richard Lum will apply a series of different methodologies to conduct this exploration, including strategic forecasting, short fiction writing, and design thinking culminating in a written report.
For more information and opportunities to participate in supporting workshops, contact Scott Cheney-Peters at [email protected].
