Submarine Session
This session has been scheduled for Sunday, June 20, 1-2pm (Eastern). Email Flotilla@cimsec.org for details on how to join.
Welcome to the invite page for an off-the-record trial discussion for CIMSEC’s Warfighting Flotilla concept. Centered on discussing naval warfighting and force development, this community will aim to elevate tactical focus and encourage warfighters to develop professionally as tacticians.
This off-the-record Flotilla discussion will focus on the themes and recommendations discussed in Jeff Vandenegel’s piece “A Deckplate Review: How the Submarine Force Can Reach Its Warfighting Potential.” (Read Part One, Part Two here.) Bring your thoughts on how the submarine community can better organize for tactical learning. Ideas for topics and questions are listed down below.
This is an unlisted page for a work-in-progress concept. Please do not publicly post it. But we are encouraging you to share this invite page with individuals who may want to participate.
Send any comments, ideas, or questions to us at Flotilla@cimsec.org. We look forward to seeing you at the discussion.
Ideas for Questions/Topics
How can the submarine force create more time to focus on tactical training?
How can we make the most out of shore-based training resources?
How do we reduce deployment administrative burdens?
